Red Rose Chain go back to prison!
We are thrilled to announce that we will be returning to Hollesley Bay prison this Spring for another bold and exciting filmmaking project, looking to build on the success of previous productions Touching Road and Better Than That.
This will be our third annual production at the prison, and 2010 will be our most ambitious year yet. Supplemented and inspired by material supplied by the East Anglian Film Archive, our aim is to work with the prisoners to write, produce, edit and screen a feature-length film, all within a two week timeframe. The project will begin on Monday 1st March 2010.
Participants will take part in drama workshops and filmmaking tutorials, learning valuable creative and collaborative skills in the process. If previous years are anything to go by, we are all set for a challenging, frenetic but ultimately hugely rewarding experience. The project is fully supported by national training and education body A4E. More information about A4E is available here.
We are currently on the lookout for clothing, props and costumes from the early 1960s era for use in this project. If you think you may be able to help, please get in touch via email (info@redrosechain.com) or call us on 01473 288 886.
