Suffolk County Council recently commissioned a new drama from the Red Rose Chain team. It is linked to the County Council's Playbuilder project, which aims to provide 21 new outdoor play opportunities in Suffolk by March 2011.
The play, entitled 'Slide Down The Rainbow', encourages parents to think about outdoor play for their children and reflect on play in their own childhoods. The play is both funny and thought provoking; the characters are seven year olds but everyone who watches the play can relate to it on one level or another. Joanna Carrick, Red Rose Chain Director, said of Slide Down The Rainbow, 'the play is very visual and entertaining but also carries an important message that should not only affect children but reach their parents aswell.'
