Meet The Team

		Joanna Carrick Artistic Director and founder of the company, Jo has directed over 30 plays and films with Red Rose Chain. Her role also includes project management, leading workshops, script writing, directing and the evaluation of projects.
		David Newborn David is Red Rose Chain's Producer, as well as an accomplished writer, cameraman and editor. He is closely involved in the project and financial management of our work and develops the company’s links with other organisations and funders.
		Michael Linge Assistant Producer Michael leads on community involvement and is an actor and workshop leader. He also manages publicity and marketing and is a key part of developing our relations with local schools and community groups.
		Nick Woolgar Nick is a filmmaker and editor who also leads on IT and assists with graphic design and marketing work. He is also responsible for managing our online content.
		Steve Whyte As our technician and set builder, Steve maintains Gippeswyk Hall and builds the sets for our shows. Steve is also a talented actor, taking part in our community theatre workshops and performances and developing his all-round stagecraft.
		Luke Lancaster Luke is our full time finance assistant and is responsible for keeping track of projects budgets, financial reporting and general administration.
		Charlotte Langley Charlotte is part-way through a year-long internship at Red Rose Chain and works across several disciplines within the company. Her recent roles have included stage management, costume and props mistress along with production and post-production assistant.
		Nikica Markot Nikica is an actress and producer, joining us on a work placement from the Central School of Speech & Drama. She is helping to develop our future funding strategy and assisting producer David in co-ordinating the company’s on-going projects.
		Josh Ling Josh pops in weekly to keep our working environment clean and tidy. He has been involved at Red Rose Chain for over 3 years, first coming to the company on work experience whilst at school. Currently studying for his A-Levels, Josh is also a talented performer.
		Ken Our resident receptionist and office mascot, Ken arrived at the company in the summer of 2010. He has since grown in stature - but not a lot! - and is considered a vital member of the team. He sleeps more than most of us though!
