6 year old Jason is kicking and screaming and biting his way through school. Mr Valentine, his new class teacher, can't cope at all. But One day Jason paints a picture that reveals a different side to this ‘wild child’.

Valentine’s Day marked Director Joanna Carrick’s first partnership with cinematographer Dick Pope BSC and was shot on 35mm. The story began as a live play before it became a film and is part of Red Rose Chain’s wide body of work looking at the challenges faced by children and young people in care.
