Lockdown community art project
In April 2020, we reached out to our audiences, friends, artists and community participants to help us create a community art collage with red roses growing on our building, Gippeswyk Hall.
We were overwhelmed with the response, with gorgeous red roses sent to us from our theatre fans, care homes, our participants, actors and some special roses from life sentence prisoners who are involved in our theatre projects at HMP Warren Hill. Over 75 beautiful roses appeared over the course of a month onto Gippeswyk Hall, edited into the collage by our Associate Artist Jack Heydon.
To celebrate the project, Jack created a short film ROSE GARDEN, with some extra special guest appearances from some of our favourite Red Rose Chain actors!
